About Me
Current
I’m once again living in New England (southern New Hampshire this time). So that makes it Texas to Massachusetts to Texas to New Hampshire… I really need to make up my mind.
I’m also happily married to the most wonderful woman in the world. We actually first met back in 1993 but didn’t get it right for another 7 years. (Start here to read about our story…)
I love to read and play golf, though not at the same time. I’d love to travel more, but right now, I’d settle for having the time to play more golf.
I’m also very interested in photography, in large part a result of our 2004 summer vacation in Yosemite and along the California coast. Which isn't to say I’m actually any good at it. Because I’m not.
Education
Three degrees in electrical engineering: a B.S from Texas A&M (1990), an M.S. from the University of Texas (1992), and a Ph.D. from A&M (1995). Which basically makes me a big geek.
By the way, yes, you read that correctly: Texas A&M and Texas. Go figure.
But yes, I am most assuredly an Aggie. Period.
Random bits
I’m a Korean-American, but I don’t speak a lick of Korean. Sad, I know, but I do plan to try to remedy this.
I’d love it if someone could tell me where I can find [a case of] Ridge “Heart’s Desire” Zinfandel. As far as I can tell, it’s no longer being produced, and I’m still kicking myself for not having bought a case or two (affordably, too!) of the stuff when I had the chance back in 1996.
Site History
This is the umpteenth version of my personal site, starting with my first creation back in 1994 when I was still in grad school and the throbbing capital ‘N’ of the original Netscape browser ruled the intertubes.
In 2001, I jumped onto the whole weblog bandwagon. I doubt much of what I have to say is of any interest to most people. But it’s entertaining to me (usually). It’s therapeutic (occasionally). Most importantly, it’s my damn site, so pardon me while I do whatever the hell I want with it.
